North Wales Upland Ecosystem Research Project

The North Wales Moorland Partnership (NWMP) Community Interest Company was set up to facilitate the £700,000 grant that we received from the European Union via the Welsh Government’s Sustainable Management Scheme.

It is a collaborative project covering over 5,000 hectares of moorland in North Wales comprising of the Rhug, Rhiwlas and Llanarmon Estates.

Over 2021, 2022 and 2023  pioneering projects took place across the NWMP Estates.

The projects carried out included;
